Born in Poprad, Slovakia, Dr. Mgr. Lucia Bérešová began her career as a choral conductor at the age of 14 in a choir in her hometown. She graduated from the University of Presov and completed her postgraduate studies at the Academy Muzyczna in Bydgoszcz, Poland. She continued her studies by pursuing a doctorate, specializing in orchestral and choral conducting at the Academy Muzyczna in Krakow, Poland.
She has graduated from various courses, such as the Conducting 21C course at The Eric Ericson International Choral Center in Stockholm, and other prestigious orchestral conducting courses in Europe.
She has collaborated with various choirs across Europe and beyond.
She is a regular member of international choral competition juries and has been a lecturer, conducting workshops on topics such as creativity in choirs and working with amateur choirs at choral music symposia in different European countries.
She was selected to conduct a seminar during the World Symposium on Choral Music 2020 in Auckland, New Zealand, and EXPO Coral 2022 in Lisbon.
